Blago Ducks With Criminal Lawyers

Nothing good coming out of Ravenswood. Nothing good. Keep up with the craziness of Senate seat selling. Maybe Rod Blagojevich will finally be a man and step down.

Meanwhile, the weather's getting warm. 54 tomorrow. And as it is Sunday, I won't be selling papers or Senate seats. Church. I'm among the few that still go because they want to. We're not alone, and by 'few', I means 'millions of people'.

Chicago Bears seem to be getting better. Too late?

Illinois Governor Blagojevich in the Pokey

Rain's coming down hard. My papers are wet, but apparently, so is Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Now, everyone knows Judy Barr Topinka was no charmer, and she lost for good reason against Blago. However, Blago himself turns out to be suspect for corruption.

Is he guilty? Beats me. I'm not on the jury. Is he a victim of Republican watchdogging? Could be. Either way, we're looking at a new governor sooner or later, and those who dissed George Ryan for his own corruption are at a loss.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff were arrested today by FBI agents on federal corruption charges

Fighting a cold and selling papers on a cold day are a difficult mix. Sometimes, there isn't enough coffee to warm what is cold.

Chicago Tribune no more? With Sam Zell's leadership apparently a failure, and internet news competing with local papers, the Chicago Tribune is considering bankruptcy.

What's is a world without the Trib?
Fewer sales for me. End of tradition. Death of an era.

I'm no hockey fan, but even I am impressed with the headline "Chicago Blackhawks rout Phoenix Coyotes 7-1."

There's a labor sit-in. I haven't followed this one, but if workers are getting screwed over, I say skip sitting in at the factory. Instead, go to the guy who is making the decision and sit quietly outside of his house.

Chicago's Police Department continues to lament the PR impact of idiot ex-officers like Anthony Abbate. He's the huge guy that beat up a little 115 pound female bartender. Although Abbate is a clear disgrace to male honor as well as the integrity of the men in blue, the CPD is, in fact, better than him.
